With profound sadness, we share the passing of Jack Bader of Tucson, Arizona. Jack was a bright, kind, and talented young man whose life was tragically cut short. He was just beginning to explore the world and his dreams, leaving behind a family, a community, and countless friends who loved him deeply.
A proud graduate of Catalina Foothills High School, Jack was a standout player on the varsity basketball team, wearing jersey #35. Standing at 6’6″ and known for his powerful presence on the court, Jack helped lead his team to an impressive 20-6 record during the 2021 season, finishing first in their region. But more than just a gifted athlete, Jack was a teammate who brought unity, energy, and leadership to every game.
Jack had recently graduated in the Class of 2023 and was continuing his education at the University of Arizona, Tucson’s renowned land-grant university. He was full of promise and passion, excited about the journey ahead, and committed to making a difference both on and off the court.
Those who knew Jack remember his easy smile, his quiet determination, and the warmth he brought into every room. Whether it was cheering on his friends, working hard in school, or pushing himself in athletics, Jack gave his full heart to everything he did.
Jack’s passing is a tremendous loss to his family, friends, teammates, and the Tucson community. He will be remembered not just for his height or his stats, but for the person he was—humble, driven, and full of heart.
